           Khia Janzen, founder of The Events Co, explains:

            "For the past 5 years, many of you will have seen Jodie Spiers &amp;amp; myself either welcoming you into our studio or setting up at island venues. After a hugely successful 2024 season, we reached a crossroads in the business &amp;amp; Jodie decided to follow her passion &amp;amp; study nutritional therapy. 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            We’d often worked closely with Khia &amp;amp; her team, so it was a very natural progression for me to join forces ( &amp;amp; prop hire stock!) with The Events Co.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I’ll focus on the creative side, whilst Khia &amp;amp; the team oversee the logistics, planning &amp;amp; admin etc. I couldn’t be happier to be working alongside such a talented &amp;amp; professional team!."

           Though Christmas Eve, the thought of hosting guests at his table filled him with dread—not for the company, but for the state of his furniture, crockery, and silverware. The dining room, with its mismatched chairs and chipped plates, could scarcely seat his newfound acquaintances from the charitable so
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           ciety.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           “Bah, humbug!” he muttered, wrapping his threadbare dressing gown tighter. “It’s too late to do anything about it now!”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           No sooner had he spoken than a cold draft swept through the room, extinguishing the fire. In the shadows appeared a glowing figure, resplendent in fine holiday garb, twinkling with golden fairy lights and holding an ornate serving tray.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           “I am the Spirit of Festive Hosting!” it announced, its voice ringing like sleigh bells. “I come to show you the joys of a well-prepared Christmas gathering.”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           With a wave of its hand, the room transformed before Ebenezer’s wide eyes. The dining table stretched out grandly, now clothed in crisp white linen. Around it stood elegant Chiavari chairs adorned with festive sashes. The sideboard sparkled with rows of polished silver cutlery, gleaming crystal glassware, and plates that looked as though they belonged in a palace.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           “But... how?” gasped Ebenezer.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            “It’s simple,” said the Spirit, its voice warm. “You need only call The Events Co. and peruse their
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The Spirit clapped its hands, and the vision shifted. Ebenezer saw himself, his table surrounded by friends and neighbors. Laughter rang out as they toasted with mulled wine, the table laden with fine food and the best of festive cheer. The once-dreaded gathering had become the highlight of the season.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When the clock struck midnight, Ebenezer woke, his heart full of resolve. “I’ll call The Events Co. first thing in the morning!” he declared.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           And so he did. By Christmas Day, his home had been transformed. His guests arrived, marveling at the beautiful setup. They dined and celebrated long into the night, with Ebenezer at the center of it all, his heart as warm as the pudding fresh from the oven.
          &#xD;

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           From that day forth, Ebenezer Cratchley was known as the merriest host of all, his parties legendary across the Isle of Wight. And every Christmas, he raised a glass to The Events Co.

         At the Events Co we are always looking for that unique element that will transform your venue or add something special to your day. And it should be high quality and full of character. Not just something that has been thrown together and hired out at weddings for the last 10 years and showing every year of its life.
         &#xD;

  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    
          So, when we were thinking of the best way to offer table hire to our services, we wanted something in addition to the standard 5ft and 6ft rounds or the utilitarian moulded plastic folding trestles. 
         &#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    
          We wanted instant character, a rustic look and a feel of lasting, heavy duty. So, we decided we'd have to rouse our peeps in the workshop, pry the coffee cups out of their hands and get to work.
         &#xD;

&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

         It took a while and much elbow grease to transform a lorry-load of used scaffolding boards into these great tables. We started by removing all old iron bands and then planed, sanded and cut the timber. But we didn't remove all the character and age. Many of the boards still bear the scars of their previous lives and that's what gives these tables their unique character.
         &#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    
          Approximately 6ft long and 2ft6 wide, the tables will seat 8-10 people comfortably and you can use spread them around, use them in pairs or out them in long rows for that traditional banquet look. 
         &#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    
          Leave them blank or dress them with hessian and white lace runners. You can compliment them with our vintage style folding wooden chairs but they would also not look out of place surrounded by our lime-wash Chiavari chairs. 
         &#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    
          We currently have 26 of these tables in stock, in addition to the standard rounds and folding trestles, but as demand increases, we will continue to make more. They have proven to be extremely popular, much to the annoyance of our delivery guys who would prefer we take the 'heavy' out of heavy-duty!
         &#xD;
